| Nicole Briede
captained a team of four women who walked
over 26.2 miles last weekend in New
York City for breast cancer research.
The team walked with 2,700 others including,
294 breast cancer survivors.
|
Walkers started
out at the South Street Seaport Saturday
morning, walked up the West Side and
ended up on Randall's Island where they
spent the night in tents under the Triborough
Bridge. The next day, they walked another
13.1 miles back to the South Street
Seaport and down the East Side. Briede's
team raised more than $11,155.0 and
plan to walk again next year.
