We'll meet at Mountainside Pool
parking lot at 8:30 AM for carpooling to
the mountain. If you prefer to drive to the mountain yourself,
see the directions below. We'll step off on the trail at 10 AM.
What you'll need to bring: Pack containing
lunch, 2 liters water, extra warm clothing, and raingear. Good
hiking boots are strongly recommended.
I'll bring the cookies.
Note: This is a strenuous 7-mile hike, but
it is not difficult. There are no chairlifts! You should be
in good physical condition. Expect the hike to take 4-5 hours.
You'll be rewarded with fabulous views, interesting geology,
and beautiful fall color as we walk along the ridge. Steady
rain cancels.
